Cleaning & Maintenance

RAPT Can & Bottle Filler | Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

To prevent the buildup of mold and bacteria and to extend the life of your device, the unit must be cleaned immediately after every filling session.

Because your beverage is contained entirely within the silicone and stainless lines and never enters the machine’s internal housing, the RAPT Can & Bottle Filler is exceptionally easy to maintain.

Clean in Place (CIP)

1

Prepare Solution:

Fill a keg, PET bottle, or pressurized cleaning tool (like a Thunder Gun) with a high-quality cleaner such as StellarClean or StellarOxy.

2

Flush the Lines:

Press and hold the Pinch Valve button to allow the cleaning solution to flow through the entire liquid line.

3

Soak the Fill Tubes:

Place a glass or container filled with cleaning solution in the fill position so the exterior of the stainless fill tubes are fully submerged.

4

Contact Time

Leave the solution in the lines and the glass for 10 minutes, then flush the system thoroughly with clean water.

5

Sanitise

Run a sanitiser solution (we recommend StellarSan) through the lines. Allow to stay in contact for a minimum of 2 minutes.

6

Dry & Store

To prevent stagnant liquid from sitting in your lines, always drain the unit before storing.

  1. Release the Pinch Valve: Push down on the black top of the pinch valve and pull the silicone tube out of the "jaw."

  2. Drain the Post: Connect a ball lock disconnect to the Yellow Carbonation Cap to allow the liquid to drain completely. If you have already removed the Carbonation Cap poppety, the line will drain naturally.

  3. Air Dry: Leave the lines disconnected and open to the air to ensure they dry fully before your next session.

Deep Clean & Disassembly

If the unit has been used for heavily hopped beers, sugary beverages, or has been sitting for an extended period, a full disassembly is recommended.

1

Remove Fittings

Unscrew the liquid Carbonation Cap from the unit and disconnect the duotight elbow.

2

Remove Tubing

Detach the silicone tube from both the Duotight fitting and the stainless fill tube.

3

Internal Cleaning

Use a 10mm deep socket to remove the poppet from the disconnect.

4

Soak

Submerge all removed items (tubing, fittings, and poppets) in a high-quality cleaner such as StellarClean or StellarOxy.

5

External Maintenance

Wipe down the exterior of the gas dip tube and any surfaces that have come into contact with your beverage.

6

Sanitise & Reassemble

Rinse all items thoroughly with water, soak in sanitiser for 2 minutes, allow to dry completely, and reassemble.
