# Registration

### How to Register the RAPT Laser Level Sensor to RAPT

**The RAPT Laser Level Sensor is part of the RAPT ecosystem.**

This is the easiest and best way to connect to the RAPT Laser Level Sensor to see instant telemetry updates - it's a real time update of the level of your kegs!

#### Bluetooth Setup

You will need to download and install the RAPT Brew App for Android or IOS

Once the RAPT Brew App has been installed, follow the on screen prompts to create an account (if required).

Ensure the **RAPT Laser Level Sensor** is turned on and in **Bluetooth Pairing** mode.

The RAPT Laser Level Sensor will automatically enter **Bluetooth Pairing** mode for approximately five minutes once the batteries are installed for the first time. If the device does not enter **Bluetooth Pairing** mode then this can be entered manually by holding the **Bluetooth** button for a few seconds until the LED blinks blue.

To connect to the RAPT Laser Level Sensor, in the RAPT Brew App navigate to **Add Device** and select **RAPT Laser Level Sensor**

Select the **RAPT Laser Level Sensor** and select **Connect**.

This will check the device and download any firmware updates if required. Once this is finished (it only takes a few seconds and is automatic) you will be prompted to register your **RAPT Laser Level Sensor** to your RAPT Brew app. Enter a custom name for your RAPT Laser level Sensor if desired (this can also be changed once the device is registered) then select **Register**

The RAPT Brew app will then apply any required updates to the RAPT Laser Level Sensor and register the device to your account. Once completed, you will be prompted to go to the device.

In the Device screen there are several options. The last known reading will be displayed, along with a visual representation of current volume.

Select the<img src="/files/Fim4dQt9744pRHwcScVt" alt="" data-size="line"> **Bookmark** symbol to quickly add the RAPT Laser Level Sensor to the RAPT Brew App Homescreen. Select the <img src="/files/yoPGaLkIpu7xvMbIBqBu" alt="" data-size="line"> **Edit** symbol to edit the device - change the device name, input the current beer (or other liquid in the the keg). You will also need to select the keg volume - 19L is the default. Other standard sizes can be selected or a custom vessel can be entered. Select **Save Changes** when done.

Select the <img src="/files/Z7ahgHAJyewyuYcqCRFe" alt="" data-size="line"> **Connect To Chip** button when within Bluetooth range of the RAPT Laser Level Sensor to get an instant realtime update of the keg volume.

The RAPT Laser Level Sensor will automatically update every time the **Device** page is opened in the RAPT Brew App, so you are always presented with an up-to-date reading (when in range of the RAPT Laser Level Sensor)
