## Instant Read Temperature Probe Upgrade

Adding the Instant Read Water Resistant Probe allows you to monitor real-time temperatures as you fill. Since temperature is the most critical factor in CO₂ stability, this upgrade helps you make immediate adjustments if your liquid warms up and causes foaming.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Remove the Stainless Stand

To access the internal housing, you must first remove the adjustable platform.

* Remove the two wing bolts and the two fixed bolts from the sides of the RAPT Can & Bottle Filler.

<div data-full-width="false"><figure><img src="/files/umXC56Me1BidGRkysbUo" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

* Slide the stainless stand off the unit and set it aside.

<figure><img src="/files/yRCXIqhsbL1yzUgZLKgj" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Open the Housing

The main housing is held together by six Phillips head screws.

* Remove all six screws and carefully separate the two halves of the housing.
* *Tip: Be mindful of any internal wiring that may be connected between the two halves as you pull them apart.*

<figure><img src="/files/QnZFMFfvqpKSBdF5fFaV" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Clear the Pinch Valve

To gain full access to the control boards, the liquid line must be moved out of the way.

* Manually press down on the Pinch Valve to open the "jaw."
* Pull the silicone liquid line out of the valve and move it to the side.

<figure><img src="/files/H5iPeOfdXCY4kLDS2zuy" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Install Probe Through Housing

The RAPT housing features a dedicated port for the temperature probe, protected by a small cap and grommet.

* Remove Cap: Locate the small port on the housing. Remove the plastic cap, but leave the rubber grommet in place. (Note: A spare grommet and cap are included in the KL38171 kit if needed).
* Insertion: Carefully push the probe end through the grommet from the inside of the housing out. *Note: The plug on the cable is too large to fit through the grommet, so the probe must be pushed from the inside out.*

<figure><img src="/files/qN7cmEsvDicGFl3nUueu" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Connect to the Board

* Locate the temperature sensor port on the main control board (there is only one compatible socket for this plug).
* Plug the lead in firmly until it is fully seated.
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Reassemble the Housing

* Once the lead is plugged in and the cable is seated neatly in the grommet, close the housing halves.
* Reinstall the six Phillips head screws and the stainless stand in reverse order.
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Secure the Probe

For the most accurate "real-time" reading, the probe should be positioned directly against the fill lines.

* Positioning: Place the probe tip between the Liquid and Purge lines.
* Secure: Use the included small rubber band to fasten the probe securely to the lines.

<figure><img src="/files/RnPvD4lgqSVe125mqn3E" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Check for OTA Firmware Update

To ensure the device recognizes the new sensor and displays the temperature on the main screen, you must be running the version realeased after 30/04/2025.

* Navigate to: `Menu` > `Settings` > `Check for Updates`.
* Once the update is complete, the temperature reading will appear on your filling display.
  {% endstep %}
  {% endstepper %}

## Slimline Fill Tube Kit Upgrade

{% hint style="info" %}
**Standard:** RAPT Can & Bottle Fillers purchased after 31/08/2025 do not require this upgrade; the slimline tubes are installed as standard. Units purchased before 31/08/2025 can be easily retrofitted with the KB22681 Slimline Fill Tube Kit by following the instructions below.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Remove Original Tubes

Carefully cut the silicone (liquid) and vinyl (gas) tubes at the point where they meet the top of your current stainless fill tubes.

<figure><img src="/files/QqMRIUXmQ5G1i9K5Tp0v" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* *Note: Ensure you make a clean, square cut to provide a better seal on the new tubes.*
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Remove the Clips

Pop the two tube-holding clips out of the front of the housing. These are friction-fitted and should release with firm, steady pressure.

<figure><img src="/files/cDLUJGI0tpYa3ghNxGwK" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Connect the New Slimline Tubes

The new tubes have different diameters and require slightly different techniques for a secure fit:

* Gas Line (Vinyl): The gas line is intentionally tight to prevent leaks. Submerge the end of the vinyl tube in a mug of hot water for 20 seconds. This will make the material pliable and much easier to slide over the new stainless barb.

<figure><img src="/files/NyvQJ8qV7CepuAkLRAMB" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Liquid Line (Silicone): This tube is softer and slides on easily. To ensure it doesn't slip during a pressurized fill, we recommend securing it with a small hose clamp ([Stepless clamps](https://kegland.com.au/products/20-pack-stainless-stepless-clamp-suit-6-8mm-od-9-5mm) are ideal for this application).

<figure><img src="/files/7IwJzFqv552myiv2eZhm" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Attach New Mounting Clips

Push the new slimline-specific clips into the housing ports until you hear an audible "click." Once secure, snap the new fill tubes into the clips.

<figure><img src="/files/RWYdS8S7Nny2axutOiiq" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Recalibrate

Because the internal volume and height of these tubes differ from the standard set, you must recalibrate your unit.

* Navigate to the Calibration menu and perform a new manual or automatic calibration to ensure your fill levels remain accurate for your specific bottles.
  {% endstep %}
  {% endstepper %}

## WiFi Antenna Upgrade

{% hint style="info" %}
**Compatibility Check:** RAPT Can & Bottle Fillers purchased after 31/01/2025 do not require this upgrade; the antenna is installed as standard. Units purchased before 31/01/2025 can be easily retrofitted with the KL44493 Wi-Fi Antenna Upgrade by following the instructions below.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Preparation & Disassembly

Follow the same initial steps as the Instant Read Temperature Probe Upgrade to access the internal boards:

* **Remove Stand:** Undo the two wing bolts and two fixed bolts from the sides.
* **Open Housing:** Remove the six Phillips head screws holding the housing together.
* **Clear the Valve:** Manually open the Pinch Valve and move the silicone liquid line to the side to reveal the control board.
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Connect the Antenna

The main control board is located in the top-left corner of the unit.

* Locate the antenna port on the board.
* Plug the External Antenna connector directly into the board until it clicks or seats firmly.

<div><figure><img src="/files/zsQrfKddCF3ilRAzBZcT" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure> <figure><img src="/files/hysAIESWexkAc00rT8BO" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Secure the Antenna to the Housing

For the best signal strength and a neat finish, the antenna should be mounted to the interior of the housing as specified in the kit.

* Carefully peel the backing tape from the antenna to expose the adhesive strip.
* Fasten the antenna to the designated spot on the housing (ensure the surface is clean and dry for maximum adhesion).

<figure><img src="/files/etO7Rc2d7my28cNQTc7t" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/00uqNutk8kR8bj9tqX7v" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Reassemble

Carefully place the housing halves back together, ensuring no wires are pinched, and replace the six Phillips screws and the stainless stand.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}
