KB51193 PolyPhoenix Air Still Pro | Registration

The PolyPhoenix Air Still Pro is part of the RAPT ecosystem.

This means it can be connected to WiFI and registered to your RAPT account. Once connected and registered the PolyPhoenix Air Still Pro can be controlled directly through the RAPT app. This is recommended but optional - all functions can also be accessed directly through the on board controller.

How to Register the PolyPhoenix Air Still Pro to RAPT

Bluetooth Operation

To connect and control the PolyPhoenix Air Still Pro remotely, you will need to download and install the RAPT Brew App for Android or IOS

Once the RAPT Brew App has been installed, follow the on screen prompts to create an account (if required).

To connect to the PolyPhoenix Air Still Pro, in the RAPT Brew App navigate to Add Device and select PolyPhoenix Air Still Pro

Ensure the PolyPhoenix Air Still Pro is turned on. Open the on screen menu using the Enter button. Navigate to Setup Device and select with the Enter button. This will broadcast a Bluetooth signal that will be picked up by the RAPT App.

Select the RAPT Airstill and select Connect.

Once Connection is complete, you will be prompted to connect the Air Still to your WiFi network. Select the desired WiFI Network from the list and enter the correct password for that WiFI Network when prompted. Once the password is entered, hit Connect

NOTE: The PolyPhoenix Air Still Pro can only connect to a 2.4gHz network

The Air Still will now be configured for connection to the selected WiFi Network.

Next, input the desired Device Name and select Register. NOTE: The Device Name can be changed in the App at any later stage.

Once connected and registered, the PolyPhoenix Air Still Pro can be controlled directly through the RAPT Brew App. Swipe up from the Device screen to bring up the controls.

On the main Device display are:

Current Still Head Temperature: This is the current measured temperature in the Still Head

Cut Off Temperature: This is the currently input cut off temperature (typically 82°C for Reflux operation, 96°C for Pot Still operation)

ABV: This is the derived ABV of the distillate at the time of display

Power: This is the current wattage of the connected boiler (400w for the PolyPhoenix Air Still Boiler)

On the Controls panel:

Select Mode: Pot or Reflux. See Modes for more detail

NOTE: When in Pot Still Mode, ensure the SPP (Spiral Prismatic Packing) is removed from the column. In Reflux Still mode, ensure the SPP is installed in the column

Manual Overwrite:

Cutoff Temperature: The Still Head temperature at which the boiler will automatically turn off. This allows you to choose the temperature at which the still shuts off.
